Health Parcel is an app for iPhone and iPad that exports your Apple Health data into files you keep, made by Ilia Usatov (“I”, “me”). This policy is short because the app is simple: your health data stays on your device, and I never receive it.
What Health Parcel does with Apple Health
The app requests read access to the health data types the presets you use need, through Apple's HealthKit permission sheet. You decide what to grant, and you can change it at any time in the Health app under Sharing → Apps.
- Health Parcel never writes anything to Apple Health and never requests write access.
- Samples are read, normalized, de-duplicated, and written into export files on your device.
- Your health data is never sent to me and never sent to any third party by the app.
- The app does not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or any use other than producing the export you asked for, and does not share it with third parties.
No accounts, no analytics, no servers of mine
Health Parcel has no sign-in, no user account, no analytics, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs for these purposes. I operate no server and the app contains no networking code of its own. The only network activity comes from Apple's own system services described below, when you choose to use them.
Your export files
Exported CSV, JSON, and Markdown files are created on your device and stored in the app's own storage. They leave your device only when you save or share them — through Files, iCloud Drive, Mail, messaging apps, or anything else you pick in the system share sheet. Once a file leaves the app, it is governed by whatever service or app you handed it to, not by this policy. Old parcels are removed automatically after 30 days, and you can delete any of them earlier from the app's history.
Settings and export history stay on your device
The app stores a small amount of state locally: your preferences (units, formats), which preset was exported through which date, per-day sample counts used to draw the coverage bar, the list of parcels you created, and — if you enable it — a local monthly reminder. This never leaves your device and is deleted together with the app. Local notifications are scheduled by iOS on the device itself.
Tips
Health Parcel is free. You can optionally leave a tip; those purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. I never see your payment details, card number, or Apple Account. Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction. Tips unlock nothing — every feature is available without them.
Contacting support
If you write to me from the app, it prepares a draft email to
[email protected] and shows it to
you; nothing is sent until you press Send in your mail app. A bug
report includes a short, visible block with the Health Parcel version and build, your
device model (for example iPhone17,1), and your iOS version. It contains
no health data, no export history, no file or data-source names, no
permission state, and no stable device identifier. If you email me, I keep that
correspondence in my mailbox for as long as needed to answer you.
Children
Health Parcel is not directed at children, and since the app collects nothing about its users, no children's data is collected either.
No sale or sharing of data
I do not sell, rent, share, or trade any personal data — there is nothing to sell, because the app collects nothing about you.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a company holds about you. In this case there is nothing for me to give you or delete: I hold no health data, no account, and no usage records. Your health data belongs to you and lives in Apple Health and in the files you saved; you can revoke the app's access in the Health app, delete parcels inside the app, and remove everything by deleting the app. If you have emailed me, you can ask me to delete that correspondence.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes in a way that affects privacy, this policy will be updated and the effective date above revised before that change ships. The current version always lives at this address.
