Oncelet is a personal journal of last times and a days-since board for iPhone and iPad, made by Ilia Usatov. This policy explains how the app handles your information and what happens if you contact support.
Your journal
Oncelet stores your trackers, entries, optional notes, custom categories, and reminder rules on your device. These records include dates, times when supplied, time zones, identifiers, and creation or update information. Tracker details include colours, icons, archive status, and positions on the pinned board.
The app and its widgets share a local App Group container so they can read and update the same journal. Local files also include setup drafts, widget status information, and technical records used to coordinate changes and keep journals from different iCloud accounts separate. App appearance preferences, notification controls, and purchase access status are stored locally. Elapsed time and history calculations run on your device.
Oncelet has no separate app account or developer-operated journal server. The app does not send your journal to me. If you include journal information in a support email, I receive what you send. Oncelet includes no advertising, tracking, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, or other third-party SDK.
iCloud sync
When Oncelet confirms an available iCloud account, the app uses Apple’s CloudKit service to sync journal data through that account’s private database. This transfers data to Apple’s infrastructure so it can reach your other devices using the same iCloud account. It includes trackers, entries and notes, custom categories, tracker colours and icons, archive status, pinned-board positions, and reminder rules. Deletion markers and records used to prevent duplicate operations also sync. iCloud sync is free.
App themes, the app icon preference, setup drafts, widget status information, notification delivery controls, and the local purchase access cache do not sync through this journal database. A reminder rule can sync while its delivery remains disabled on another device.
Without an available iCloud account, Oncelet can keep a local journal. Signing out or losing iCloud access does not itself erase the current local journal. A journal not yet associated with an account is associated with the first iCloud account Oncelet confirms. A different confirmed account uses a separate local journal; the previous account’s history is kept and is not automatically copied into it. Preserved histories can be viewed locally in the app’s Data settings without syncing them into the current account.
Manage iCloud access in your device’s Apple Account settings. Apple’s handling of information is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy. Removing Oncelet does not itself request deletion of its CloudKit data.
Reminders and widgets
After you enable reminders and allow notifications, Oncelet schedules local notifications on your device. Notifications show the tracker name and elapsed-time information, or indicate that there are no entries yet. Tapping a notification opens the tracker; it does not create an entry. Notification permission and delivery controls apply separately on each device. You can pause reminders in Oncelet’s Notifications settings or change permission in system Settings.
Widgets show selected trackers and time since their last entries. Their record button saves a new entry at the current time in the shared local journal without opening the app. The app handles subsequent iCloud sync; the widget does not connect directly to CloudKit. Tracker names and journal information may be visible to other people in widgets and notification previews. Choose their placement and preview settings accordingly.
Purchases
Apple processes the optional Oncelet Pro purchase. Oncelet uses StoreKit 2 to verify transactions, check current purchase access, and restore purchases. The app keeps a local access status that its widgets also read. This cache is separate from journal sync and may need to be refreshed through StoreKit. I do not receive your card or bank details through Oncelet.
Oncelet also writes billing diagnostics to Apple’s system log, including operation outcomes, access status, transaction-verification flags, and the StoreKit environment. These messages do not include journal content, account identifiers, or transaction identifiers.
Retention and deletion
Archiving preserves a tracker’s history; it is not deletion. In Settings, open Data and review the journal deletion prompt before confirming. Deletion removes the active and archived trackers included in the confirmed current-journal snapshot, their entries, and custom categories. It cannot be undone. Data that arrives later through sync may need a separate review.
With iCloud, these deletions can reach devices using the same journal when they sync. They may not reach every device immediately. Deletion keeps your purchase, appearance settings, and preserved journals from other iCloud accounts. It is not a full reset of all local files: notification preferences, setup drafts, deletion markers, and operation records can remain. Technical deletion and operation records help prevent deleted data from reappearing or a retried action from creating a duplicate.
Removing the app does not guarantee removal of iCloud data, backups, or copies on other devices. Deleting the current journal does not erase preserved histories from other accounts. I cannot use the app’s support tools to access or delete your private iCloud journal for you.
If you contact support
If you email [email protected], I receive your email address, message, and any attachments you send. I use them to respond and investigate your request. Your email service also handles the message.
Report a problem in the app prepares an email with the app version and build, device model, operating system version, app language, Free or Pro access status, active and archived tracker counts, and iCloud status. This diagnostic block excludes tracker names, entry dates, notes, and account identifiers. It is part of the email draft and is sent when you send the message. Suggest an improvement does not add this block. Review the draft and hide personal entries in any screenshots before sending.
For privacy questions or requests about personal information in support correspondence, email the same address. Any rights and obligations depend on the applicable law.
This website
This policy primarily describes the Oncelet app. When you visit this website, your browser sends connection information, such as your IP address and requested page, to the service delivering the page. The Oncelet pages themselves include no analytics scripts, forms, or advertising. Website hosting is separate from journal storage in the app.
Changes and contact
